Hewitt vs Dimitrov ATP Queens Trade

hewitt vs dimitrov atp queens trade

Lleyton Hewitt vs Grigor Dimitrov ATP Queens trade.

This one one of my trades performed last week during the 2013 Aegon Championships. I obviously had to post it a few days ago but couldn’t manage to find the time. Hewitt went a break up and hold serve when I decided to engage in this trade. The Australian was leading 5-3, with Dimitrov to serve. It was most likely that Grigor would hold his nerves and force Hewitt to serve for the set. A back-to-back break of serve sounded improbable. So I decided to lay Hewitt. Even if Lleyton would have managed the second break and closed the set, odds wouldn’t have gone against me a lot and there was always time in the 2nd set to cut losses or even grab profits.

However, the Bulgarian hold serve when I backed and closed a part of my position at 5-4. I further backed when Dimitrov wen’t up 15-0 on Hewitt’s serve and fully closed it when Lleyton came back to lead 30-15. The hedged displayed a nice $34 profit and I continued to watch this game, to see if I can notice some profitable entry points during the 2nd set. Hewitt did manage to break right at the start of the set and things where pretty much over from my point of view when he backed his break to go 2-0 ahead. Trading was over for this Hewitt vs Dimitrov clash. The Australian eventually won 6-4, 6-3 and progressed in the later stages of the tournament reaching the Semis, where he lost in 3 sets against Marin Cilic.
